Emerging science. Thoughtful guidance.

Peptide Therapy

Better Care Begins with an Open Mind
— And Sound Clinical Judgment.

We’re committed to exploring emerging therapies that may offer new ways to support pet health and healing. Peptide therapy is one we’ll consider when it could benefit your pet.

The Healing Haven Difference

Innovative Doesn’t Automatically Mean Better.

Our approach is always guided by the pet in front of us. When we believe peptide therapy could help, we’ll discuss what we know, what we’re still learning, and whether it’s likely to help.

The Basics

What Are Peptides?

Short chains of amino acids that act as messengers — helping cells communicate and supporting healing, inflammation control, and tissue repair.

Based primarily on laboratory and rodent studies, certain peptides may help support healing of muscles, tendons, and ligaments, promote gastrointestinal health, and encourage recovery after an injury or procedure.

Research involving dogs is still limited, so peptide therapy is considered investigational.

Who It May Help

When Peptide Therapy May Help

When appropriate, peptides may be one part of a dog’s individualized plan — alongside conventional care, rehabilitation, and other supportive therapies.

A Measured Approach

The Research Continues to Evolve.

So does our understanding of where peptides may help most.

Before recommending treatment, Dr. Dunser will consider your pet’s health, medical history, diagnosis, and goals, as well as current evidence supporting peptide use.
